RULES
Sire Enrollment
Fee: $500.00
The enrollment slot must have the horse’s name and be paid by June 1st. This is a non-refundable deposit. If not enrolled by June 1st, a $100.00 late fee will be assessed.
After July 1st, the following late fees apply
If paid in July additional $25.00
If paid in August additional $50.00
If paid in September additional $100.00
If paid in October additional $200.00
If enrolled in October the fee would be $500.00
In addition, the late fees mentioned above would be applicable for each month through October.
Total cost plus late fees $975.00.
Dam Enrollment
Fee: $350.00
The enrollment slot must have the horse’s name and be paid by June 1st. This is a non-refundable deposit. If the not enrolled by June 1st, a $100.00 late fee will be assessed.
After July 1st, the following fees apply:
If paid in August additional $50.00
If paid in September additional $100.00
If paid in October additional $200.00
If enrolled in October the fee would be $350.00
In addition, the late fees mentioned above would be applicable for each month through October.
Total cost plus late fees $800.00
- Stallion/Dam nomination fee due with the enrollment form OR $150 (Non Refundable) is accepted, with the nomination form, with the remaining balance due on or before the deadline date of June 1.
- Stallions/Dams of all breeds are welcome.
- Nominations will be limited to the first 50 stallions/dams received.
- Stallions/Dams enrolled in the previous year will have the first rights to be enrolled the following year.
- Nominations will be accepted without the stallion/dam name, however a name must be submitted by the enrollment form deadline.
- All enrolled stallion/dam owners MUST be current NCRCHA members.
- Nominations open October 15 and close June 1 of the nomination year.
- Nominated stallions/dams, as well as their offspring, are eligible to compete in their respective age divisions in our Fall Futurity and Derby.
- Enrollment must be paid each year of eligibility.
- Classes for our enrolled stallions/dams and offspring are: Breeders Stakes Open, Breeders Stakes Limited, Breeders Stakes Non Pro, Breeders Stakes Amateur - Futurity and Derby Classes. Non Pro and Amateur ownership rules apply.
- Enrolled stallion owners will receive one free entry, for each stallion enrolled, to be used by the stallion owner only. This free entry is not transferable and must be used that same year. This free entry can be used in the Futurity or Derby classes by the enrolled stallion or an offspring to the enrolled stallion. This only includes the entry fee, not cattle and additional fees.
- Any foal owner may nominate their foals sire/dam - no free entry is given out in this case. Sire/dam award will be paid out to the person who paid the enrollment fee unless otherwise notified.
Sire Benefits
Enrolled sires may compete in a futurity or derby breeders class as long as age requirements are met, 3 year old futurity and 4 and 5 year old derby.
Owner(s) of an enrolled sire will receive one free entry fee to be used by a qualifying enrolled sire or one of his offspring. This free entry is for the owner only and is not transferable or refundable. Must be used in the enrollment year and used only for a breeder’s class. This free entry is for the entry fee only. Cattle charges and all other fees still apply.
Owners enrolling more than one sire will receive a free entry for each sire enrolled, following above rules.
No restrictions for owners to enroll their sire or their offspring into this program. All sire winnings go to person(s) enrolling the sire.
Dam Benefits
Dams enrolled in the breeders program will not qualify to compete in the breeders classes. Their offspring with qualifying ages of 3 year olds for futurity and 4 and 5 year olds for the derby classes, will qualify.
Dam owners enrolling into the breeders program will not receive a free entry fee. Dam awards go to persons enrolling the dam.
No restrictions for owners to enroll the dam of their offspring. The offspring may compete as long as age requirements are met. No free entry fee given. All dam winnings go to the person(s) enrolling the dam.

PAYOUTS
Payout is based on a percentage of enrolled sires & dams. 80% of all enrolled money is paid for sire & dam awards and prizes.
- $800.00 for show awards out of total paid enrollments.
- 20% retained by NCRCHA for expenses of total after award withdrawal.
- 10% sire & dam awards of total after award withdrawal.
- Sire and Dam awards are paid out to the highest money earning sire or dam for the current years event.
- 70% purse; the remaining 70% is divided as follows:
- 60% purse money going into the Breeders Futurity Classes
- 40% purse money going into the Breeders Derby Classes
- Ads will be placed in local and national cow horse magazines, along with show results and pictures. Information will be listed in our Breeders Stakes section of the website, write up on the stallion, pictures (owner provides) and a link to your website.
- Lists of stallions/dams and contact information will be published in 'The Wrangler.'
